How I Find Keywords On Other Websites

Ask anyone about earning money from online article marketing and they’ll tell you that one of THE most important things are keywords.

These are the words that people will type into a search bar to find the information they’re looking for online. So if you don’t have the keywords they’re using, then chances are, they won’t find your website because it won’t show up in their search results.

Sometimes, I find it handy to look at what other marketers are using as keywords for articles and blog posts that are similar to mine. And there is an easy way to do this.

What I do is I right-click on a blank part of the page that has an article that I want to find the keywords for.

This opens up a menu and one of the options is “show page source.”

I choose this one and it shows me the source code for the page. Somewhere close to the top of the page I’ll see several things listed that start with <meta name = >

Looking down the list one will say <meta name = “keywords” content = “******” >

But instead of those little stars, it will list all the keywords for that page, all divided by commas.

Sometimes it can also say <meta name = “categories” content = “********” >

And again, the little stars are all the categories/keywords for that page.

This is a really quick way to search for keywords. I also sometimes use Google’s Keyword Planner to search a website to see their keywords. This is a free tool to use and you can search a whole website or just one particular page. It will also help you to find suitable keywords for your own site.

And then all you have to do is write keyword-rich articles that are easily discoverable through organic search.
