Objections Can Help Make More Sales

I learned this a long time ago, and it has helped me to earn a lot more money from my article marketing efforts than most things I learned.

And what I learned was, to always remember that customers will always be looking for a reason NOT to buy from you. In their minds they’ll have objections.

So what can you do about it?

Most importantly, you need to understand what objections your customers have.

Next, you have to overcome them.

For instance, if you’re selling a product at a high price, convince your customers that they are buying a superior product, because price is always an objection, no matter how high or low it is.

So always know what makes the product you’re selling different (and better) than any other. And it may not be the product itself that is superior, but your easy refund policy if the customer isn’t 100% happy with their purchase.

If it helps, there is a list of 50 questions to ask to make your copy better and you can find it on the website of direct response copywriter, Bob Bly.

It’s on his website under the menu item Methodology>Direct Mail Checklist. The link to go straight there is https://www.bly.com/newsite/Pages/method/direct-mail-checklist.htm.

Knowing your customers objections and being able to answer them, will make your articles better and help make more sales by letting your copy be persuasive.

How I Find Keywords On Other Websites

Ask anyone about earning money from online article marketing and they’ll tell you that one of THE most important things are keywords.

These are the words that people will type into a search bar to find the information they’re looking for online. So if you don’t have the keywords they’re using, then chances are, they won’t find your website because it won’t show up in their search results.

Sometimes, I find it handy to look at what other marketers are using as keywords for articles and blog posts that are similar to mine. And there is an easy way to do this.

What I do is I right-click on a blank part of the page that has an article that I want to find the keywords for.

This opens up a menu and one of the options is “show page source.”

I choose this one and it shows me the source code for the page. Somewhere close to the top of the page I’ll see several things listed that start with <meta name = >

Looking down the list one will say <meta name = “keywords” content = “******” >

But instead of those little stars, it will list all the keywords for that page, all divided by commas.

Sometimes it can also say <meta name = “categories” content = “********” >

And again, the little stars are all the categories/keywords for that page.

This is a really quick way to search for keywords. I also sometimes use Google’s Keyword Planner to search a website to see their keywords. This is a free tool to use and you can search a whole website or just one particular page. It will also help you to find suitable keywords for your own site.

And then all you have to do is write keyword-rich articles that are easily discoverable through organic search.

A Surprising Article Marketing Method That Really Works

Years ago, when I first started working online, I used article directories as a way to get more visitors to my sites. I used to write at least one article a week and send it out to several different article directories and I received thousands of visitors.

But a few years later things changed and Google stopped indexing article directories so the amount of traffic my articles produced dropped significantly.

One thing I did notice though, was that one of these directories continued to be successful for me, and that one was (and still is) EzineArticles.com.

There are so many people online now who say that article marketing using EzineArticles doesn’t work anymore, but I say it still does and I still submit articles to them.

What most of these other people don’t seem to realise, or miss entirely, is that only correct article marketing can produce real and tangible benefits. Lacklustre effort with half-baked articles will only product poor results.

But don’t blame article marketing and say it doesn’t work if the articles you’re writing are nothing but sludge yet you’re expecting it to produce massive amounts of traffic to your website.

Great article marketing starts with an eyeball-grabbing title and ends with a click-through obtaining resource box.

As an example of bad article titles currently on EzineArticles.com:

- Genealogy Supplies

- How to Make Quick Money Online

- Find Out More About Affiliate Marketing

- Learn About Affiliate Marketing - Do Coaching Programs Work?

Bad resource boxes include:

- For more insights into this subject…

- To learn more visit…

Successful article marketing means employing strong click-through strategies, and reading advice from other successful article marketers. They also leverage whatever software or websites that can increase their output as well as their ROI, including using social media, YouTube and even Dragon Naturally Speaking Software.

Successful article marketers re-purpose their articles into videos, podcasts and press releases, for mass delivery and exposure.

Article marketing methods need to constantly evolve to help increase the gain from every article written.

There are 3 types of article marketers -

  1. Those who do little or nothing yet still expect profitable returns.
  2. Those still relying on outdated methods.
  3. Those who continually educate themselves to see what works and what works even better to generate more traffic and higher ROIs.

The choice is yours.

3 Steps to Article Writing Success

This morning I saw an online advertisement for an article writer. Someone was looking for a regular writer of short articles for their blog and they were willing to pay $15 per article.

I thought, that's good money if you can write an article in 15 minutes or less. At $15 an article you'd earn $60 an hour. And many sites pay even more for articles.

But why are others willing to pay so much for online articles?

Because they know they can earn so much more from each one, and so can you if you write articles for your own site.

But there are 3 things that you must do if you want to be successful.

1. Pick a profitable niche that interests you. If you have no interest in the subject you're writing about, then you'll struggle to write anything interesting. You'll be bored and so your articles will be boring too. Also, the niche needs to be profitable for obvious reasons.

2. Write articles quickly. Time is money so it stands to reason that the more articles you write, the more money you can earn. Even if you're only using PPC advertising to make money, more articles = more ads, which can add up to more income.

3. Be consistent. It was the online guru, Mike Littman, who said, "In life and in business, you're either consistent or you're non-existent." In other words, if you don't make a habit out of doing what you need to do, then your achievements from it will be non-existent. So make writing articles into a daily habit, so that reading them becomes a habit to your readers.

So remember these 3 steps:

- Find a profitable niche that interests you
- write articles quickly
- be consistent in our daily writing habit

And these will help to increase your article writing success.
