In the early days, marketing needed the use of a PPC expert with a spreadsheet to manage a large company’s online advertising, including those on social media. But now it can be done using AI.
This is not to say that it’s replaced copywriters and online marketers, but it certainly has changed the role they play, and in many instances has made it easier for them.
Currently, more and more online tasks are being done by artificial intelligence.
Thanks to AI, online writers and marketers now have access to powerful tools that allow them to better understand their customers needs, create graphics within seconds, write long-form articles within minutes, and automate many other tasks.
It’s taking the online world by storm because there are so many things it can do:
- Come up with dozens of blog post titles on any topic you want to write about
- Write an email for your mailing list
- Come up with dozens of Instagram captions
- Create a beautiful piece of graphic art
- Write a video script
- Spark fresh ideas to break through writer’s block
And a whole lot more.
But AI is not a replacement for learning about writing and marketing and how to sell yourself and your work to your readers and customers.
One of the big drivers of the growing public awareness of AI is the Chat GPT bot, available from Open AI. It’s a state-of-the-art language processing bot that interacts in a conversational way using human-like text.
It’s feels like a magic “oracle” on the other side of the screen and keyboard.
In reality it’s a computer program able to understand human language as it is spoken and written, which allows it to understand the information and questions that you feed it, and it knows how to respond in a way that you’ll understand.
But it won’t completely replace writers and marketers like most of the population seem to think.
AI like Chat GPT, will disrupt things for a while, but it is not a rule changer.
Just like the DOTCOM bubble, or the real estate bubble, or the stock market bubble, or any other bubble, it will change things for a time but then we’ll all get used to using it.
AI is simply a tool for creatives to use. It will help you do things faster, easier, cheaper, and in some cases, better than you would do them yourself.
But it cannot do everything that a human can do.
- AI is not a talented writer.
- AI is not a magic tool that will make money appear in your bank account.
- AI is not a replacement for your own ideas and capabilities
- AI is not an excuse to stop writing and earning money.
- AI cannot work on it’s own without you.
If you’ve been thinking about using AI, but you’re not sure how can will help you, or you wonder if it’s as good as they say it is, why not take it for a test drive?
Right now (and I don’t know how long this will last) you can try Jasper AI for free and use it to write up to 10,000 words.
That’s up to 20 blog posts written for you.
So why not give it a try and see what all the excitement is about?
It won’t even cost you anything, and it may even help you in ways that you couldn’t imagine.
